Obituary

Haverhill: Jason A. Michitson, 44, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, died at his home from natural causes on Friday, May 19, 2017.

Born in Haverhill, son of James and Donna (DiProfio) Michitson, he attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1991 where he was a member of the Football and Wrestling teams. He attended Fitchburg State College and received his Associates Degree in Communications from Northern Essex Community College.

Jason was presently working as a nurse recruiter at H.M.R. Staffing and as a sales representative at Lambert Roofing Co. He previously was employed as a supervisor at Zwicker & Associates of Andover and the Haverhill Chamber of Commerce.

A member of All Saints Parish and the former Saint Joseph Parish, he was a longtime member of the Thursday Night Basketball League at Cedardale Athletic Club in Ward Hill. He was an avid sports fan of all Boston and New England sports teams as well as all collegiate sports.

Jason also enjoyed Hockey and Floor Hockey and gathering with his friends at Murphy's Garrison Golf Course. He was a devoted uncle to his niece and nephew and enjoyed traveling and trips to the beach.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of eighteen months, Jennifer (Clark) Michitson, a step daughter Juliana, his parents, James and Donna (DiProfio) Michitson of Haverhill, a brother Matthew J. Michitson of Haverhill, a sister Adria Michitson and her fiancé Justin Poore of Haverhill, his maternal grandmother Aurea (Cartier) DiProfio of Haverhill, a niece Austin and a nephew Hunter, several aunts, uncles and cousins, his trusted dog "Teddy", and numerous friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jason's Life Celebration to be held on Thursday May 25, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at BERUBE- Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. His funeral will be held on Friday morning at 10 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in All Saints Church, Haverhill. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick's Cemetery.
