Atkinson, NH: Janice A. (Eastwood) Stundze, 76, a longtime resident of Atkinson, NH, died on November 13, 2017 at the High Pointe Hospice House, Haverhill.
Born in Lawrence, MA, the daughter of the late David J. and Yvonne (Poirier) Eastwood, she was raised and educated in Lawrence, MA, attending St. Mary's Grammar School and St. Mary's High School, graduating with the Class of 1959. She also attended Merrimack College, North Andover, MA.
Mrs. Stundze worked as a solderer in the assembly of electronic circuit boards for Data Ed, Salem, NH for many years before her retirement and later worked at Walmart as a greeter.
She was a member of St. Anne's Parish, Hampstead, NH and The Red Hat Society and in her younger years served as a den mother for the local Cub Scout Pack. A devoted grandmother who enjoyed knitting and crocheting afghans, sweaters and hats, she also enjoyed traveling to Cape Cod and in her leisure time could be found watching the Hallmark television station.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, James V. Stundze; two sons and daughter-in-law, James V. Stundze, Jr. and Scott M. and Laura Stundze, all of Atkinson, NH; a brother, Jack Eastwood of Laconia, NH; two sisters, Joyce Freitas of Plaistow, NH and Arlene Savinelli of Georgia; three grandchildren, Suzanne Wentzell, Kayla Stundze and Mark Stundze; and two great grandchildren, Brody Wentzell and Cora-Lee Wentzell.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Janice's Life Celebration to be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 4 – 8 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will begin on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at 11:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM at St. Anne's Church, Hampstead, NH. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence, MA.
