Newton, NH – James J. Mavrelion, 74, died Sunday November 13, 2022 at his home following a sudden illness.

Born February 3, 1948 in Boston, MA; he was the son of the late John and Lillian (Garjian) Mavrelion.

Mr. Mavrelion was an aircraft mechanic who started his career with Flying Tigers which was eventually purchased by Federal Express, where he retired after many years.

In his spare time, he loved to travel, work in his garden, and could fix almost anything.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Pamela (Pennycuff) Mavrelion of Newton, NH; his children Colleen Shore Grenon of Windham, NH; and Nicholas Mavrelion of Newton, NH; two grandsons Jacob and Joshua, three brothers Charles Mavrelion and wife Cleo of Windsor, CT; Theodore Mavrelion of Marlboro MA, and John Mavrelion of Cohasset, MA; and one sister Diane Reilly of Taunton, MA; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit Friday November 18, 2022 from 10 AM – 12 PM at the Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH.

A funeral service will follow at 12:15 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.  Burial will take place in the Highland Cemetery in Newton, NH.
