Salem, NH:  James Burr Loew, 78, died June 12, 2018, peacefully at home with his dear family and friend, Deb Guillmette of Raymond, NH, by his side.

He was born March 11, 1940 in Detroit, MI to Earl and Reva (Moored) Loew.  He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from UMass, Amherst, MA and an MBA Degree from Babson College, Wellesley, MA.  He worked for Borden Chemical Co., for Arthur Anderson, an accounting firm, for Brown Paper Co. and Merrimack Paper Co.  In latter years, he made antique clock reproductions and also served in the U. S. Army Reserves.

Mr. Loew enjoyed skiing, spending time in the White Mountains and collecting antique cars.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Dr. Charlotte (Glidden) Loew of Salem, NH; two sons, Burr Jason Loew and his wife, Marianne of Hopkinton, NH and Aaron Thomas Loew and his girlfriend, Amanda Carroll of Plaistow, NH; a daughter, Jenny Machnowski and her husband, Michael Machnowski of Windham, NH; six grandchildren, Avery Loew, Cooper Loew and Chase Loew of Hopkinton, NH and Carter Machnowski, Morgan Machnowski and Adelyn Machnowski of Windham, NH; two sisters, Betty White and her husband, W. Sedgefield White of Ludlow, ME and Jane Crosby and her husband, Robert Crosby of Wallingford, VT; a sister-in-law, Nancy Loew of Attleboro, MA and several nieces and nephews.  He was pre-deceased by his brother, Dr. Donald Loew of Attleboro, MA.

There will be no calling hours.  A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.  Donations may be sent to the Michael J.
