Stoneham, MA: James F. Erricolo, 85, of Stoneham died on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Methuen Health and Rehab Center in Methuen.
Born, raised, and educated in Revere, son of the late Leopold and Jenny (Corrado) Erricolo, he attended Revere High School.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II. During his enlistment Mr. Erricolo accompanied Admiral Byrd on his exploration of Antarctica. Following his discharge from the Navy, he worked as a pipe fitter for the Boston Naval Shipyard before retiring in 1978.
Mr. Erricolo enjoyed attending Rockingham Park in Salem, NH.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice C. (Kurland), his three sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Kathy Erricolo of Holyoke, Michael P. and Janis Erricolo of Warren, and James P. and Priscilla Erricolo of Haverhill, his two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda M. and Raymond Trant of Stoneham, and Diane C. and John Gallerani of Hampstead, NH, eleven grandchildren, his sister, Violet Cerchione, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours and a private graveside service will take place at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH.
