Haverhill: Jacqueline T. (Sturk) Haseltine, 87, died peacefully on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Penacook Place.

Born in Haverhill on January 6, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Mary (Gallant) Sturk and attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and Haverhill High School.

Mrs. Haseltine was employed as a layout operator at Western Electric Co. and AT & T Technologies for twenty-five years until her retirement in 1985 and was a member of the Communication Workers of America and the Telephone Pioneers of America.

A lifelong and active member of Saint James Parish, she was a longtime member and past treasurer of the Ladies of the Rosary Sodality, and also assisted in the accounting of the weekly collections.

A loving and dedicated, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

The wife of Richard Haseltine, who predeceased her in 1992 after forty-five years of marriage, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph D. and Judith Haseltine of Lunenburg, her daughter Mary Cloutier of Sandown, NH, six grandchildren, Kara Gleason, Danielle Lavoie, David Cloutier, Erin Makarow, Susan Fife and Jacqueline Crook, six great grandchildren, her sister-in-law Theresa Sturk, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Sally (Haseltine) Gleason in 2002, her son James D. Haseltine in 2003 and her son-in-law Thomas Gleason in 2014.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Haseltine's Life Celebration to be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at BERUBE-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral will begin on Friday at 9a.m. from the funeral home with a mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint James Church. Burial will follow in Saint James Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Saint Vincent de-Paul Society of Saint James Parish, 6 Cottage St. Haverhill, MA.
