Irene Francis (Hart) Chaisson, 86, a resident of Exeter, NH passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Exeter Rehabilitation Center in Exeter, NH. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Chaisson with whom she shared fifty-eight years of marriage.

She was born in Lawrence, MA on July 28, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Malcom and Irene (Stone) Hart. Irene was raised and educated in Lawrence, MA. She was employed as a registered nurse at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA most of her career until her retirement. Irene cherished the many summers spent at Bow Lake in Strafford, NH. Everyone from her parents, her children, her in-laws and friends would gather and enjoy making memories and spending time together. She was an avid Boston sports fan. Irene most especially rooted for Tom Brady.

Irene is survived by her sons Russell Chaisson and his partner Kim Keaton of Concord, NH and Robert Chaisson of Danville, NH, her grandchildren Cassandra George and Christopher George, and her great grandchildren Jerimiah and Aurora.

She was sadly predeceased by her siblings Dorothy Dyson, Janice Belise and Malcom Hart.

Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 11am at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main St. Haverhill, MA. Interment will follow in Old Meeting House cemetery, Danville, NH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Irene’s memory to the MSPCA at support.mspca.org.
