Sandown, NH: Huguette A. (Morin) Perreault, a resident of Sandown for the past forty-six years, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at The Elliott Hospital in Manchester, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Ville Degelis, Province of Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Phillippe and Marie (Stella) Morin, she came to the United States as a young woman and settled with her family in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
Huguette first worked as a stitcher at the Lawrence Maid Shoe Co and following her move to Sandown, NH in 1977, she worked as a waitress at a coffee shop in Hampstead, NH and a cafeteria worker at the Sandown Elementary School and finally as a cookie maker for St. Julian's Macaroons of Sandown.
A devoted wife and mother and grandmother, she was a member of Saint Michael's Church in Sandown. She raised four children and created a warm and loving home for her family while working, and enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, cooking, gardening, sewing, crafting and shopping. She looked forward to weekend nights with her late husband, Gilles, and enjoying ballroom dancing at the French Social Club and the VFW of Salem and Methuen.
Predeceased in 2009 by her loving and devoted husband of forty-two years, Gilles H. Perreault, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, Mario G. Perreault and his wife, Morgan of Plaistow, and Normand D. Perreault and his partner Candy Burrill of Sandown, a daughter Christine L. Young and her partner Greg Palmer of Londonderry, NH, two brothers, Ronald Morin and his partner Reine Picard, of Methuen, and Richard Morin and his wife Guilda of Merrimack, NH, a sister Lynn M. Morin and her partner Joe Duffen of Raymond, NH, a sister-in-law, Danielle Morin of Manchester, NH, eight grandchildren, Kristen Perreault, Lucas Manthorn, McLayne Manthorn , Matthew Perreault, James Perreault, Blake Perreault, Ryan Young and Andrew Young, her companion, John Pelletier, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Carl R. Perreault in 2017 and a brother Gill Morin and a sister, Guilda Clavette.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Huguette's Life Celebration to be held on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held in the spring in Holy Angels Cemetery.
