Howard W. Bailey, 59, of Kingston, NH, died on April 17, 2018 at the Maine Medical Center, Portland, ME, following a brief illness.

Born in Haverhill, MA, he was the son of the late Howard and Helen (Leate) Bailey.  He attended Haverhill High School, where he was a member of their varsity football and track teams, and graduated with the Class of 1977 and also attended Northern Essex Community College.  He worked as a Real Estate Investor and recently as a truck driver for the Dead River Company in Portland, ME.

Howard loved sports and played on a softball league for A T & T, and he enjoyed watching all Boston/New  England sports teams, especially the New England Patriots.  He also enjoyed playing chess and strategy games and collecting, researching and working with statistics.

He is survived by two sons, Douglas S. Bailey of Haverhill, MA and Chase W. Bailey of Wolfeboro, NH; a brother, Joseph P. Bailey and his wife, Carla of Kingston, NH; two sisters, Patricia A. Connors of W. Springfield, MA and Deborah J. Forte and her husband, Daniel of Haverhill, MA; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.  A Funeral Service will follow at 12:30 PM in the funeral home with burial following the service in Pine Grove Cemetery, Barrington, NH.
