Homer Bruce Holiman, born on February 2,1925 and raised in Arkansas, died at his Chattanooga home on Thursday, November 30, 2017.

lmmediately following his graduation from high school, Mr. Holiman went to work for Boeing in Wichita, Kansas. Two years later hemoved to Carlsbad, New Mexico and began work in the potash mines.  At this time he met and married Jeanette Tracewell. Later with his wife and daughter, Cecilia, they moved to Dallas, Texas where he took a Dale Carnegie course and did radio broadcasting.

ln 1949, the family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he worked for the Coca-Cola Company for nine years. During this time another daughter, Karen, and son, Ron, were born.

ln 1958, he was baptized into the Seventh-Day-Adventist Church and became a literature evangelist. Most of his life work was with Christian Record, an organization serving the blind with Braille books and helping with blind children at youth camps.

ln 1999 his wife of 53 years passed away. ln 2001 he married Geneva Roddy. They have resided in Chattanooga.

ln addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by daughter, Karen; son, Gary; and step-son, Bobby.  Homer is survived by his wife, Geneva; sister, Mary of Missouri; daughter, Cecilia; sons, Ron and Kenny; grandchildren, Julie, Todd, Shane, Stefanie, Jereme, Jennifer, Shaina, Bradley, Breanna, Kari and Kara; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Jordyn, Colt, Mavric and Zalika, Laterrius, Zytionne, Xayvion and Maliha; step-son, Roy David Bayne; step-grandsons, Ryan and Richard.

A private graveside service will be held.  Donations in his name may be made to Christian Record Services.
