Newton – Henry G. Comeau, 81, passed away Wednesday December 6, 2023 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital following a period of failing health.

Born December 22, 1941 in Haverhill, MA, he was the son of the late Melburn and Lillian (St. Onge) Comeau.

Henry served in the US Army. He later worked as a carpenter and was very proud that he built his own home in Newton NH. He also worked as a Pattern Maker for Baily's Manufacturing Company for many years.

He loved performing and singing with his brother Paul and loved the mountains and camping.

Members of his family include his wife Raylene (Brown) Comeau of Newton, NH; his children Caryn Comeau and significant other Joe Arsenault of Bay City, MI; and Michael Comeau and wife Andrea of Atkinson, NH; his grandchildren Jeromy, Michael, Erik, and Nicholas, and two great grandchildren Luna Rose and Jo Michael as well as many cousins.

He was predeceased by his brother Paul Comeau, and his sister Phyllis Comeau.

Calling hours will be held on December 15, 2023, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will begin at 12:15 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 892 Hilldale Avenue, Haverhill, MA.
