Obituary

PLAISTOW, NH – Helen J. (White) Taylor passed away peacefully at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA on September 17, 2023, at the age of 93.

Born in Malden, Massachusetts on December 20, 1929, to the late Paul and Myrtle (Stuart) White.  She attended the Trade High School for Girls in Boston where she concentrated her studies in Sewing and Home Economics.  She met her loving and devoted husband, Albert P. Taylor, and got engaged in May of 1948.  After graduating from Trade School in June of 1949, she married the love of her life on July 31, 1949 at St. Joseph's Rectory in Medford, Massachusetts.  Just shy of 62 years of marriage, Al passed away on March 16, 2011.

Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.  She lived a full life brimming with love, travel and laughter.  She and Albert spent time traveling by RV to various states, especially Florida, where they met up with friends through Good Sam Club.  Helen loved to read, play cards, Bingo (especially at the Vic Geary Center in Plaistow) and visited many Casinos throughout her years.  She also loved to crochet, knit and sew.

Helen is survived by her son, Dennis Taylor and his wife Maria of Tempe, AZ; her son Paul Taylor and his wife Debra of Plaistow, NH; six grandchildren: Jonathan Taylor and his wife Stacey of Burlington Iowa, Christopher Taylor of Fremont NH, Elizabeth Taylor of Biddeford ME, John Michael Taylor and his wife Kat of Goshen NH, Lori Taylor Lundergan and her husband Charles (CJ) Lundergan of Loudon NH and Zachary Taylor of Plaistow NH.  She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren: Jonathan Taylor II, Alex Steel and Alyssa Bennett of Burlington Iowa; Kristopher John Taylor of Biddeford ME; Kaleigh Taylor of Fremont, NH; Zion, Zavanna and Zavier Silva of Tempe AZ; and Charlee Ann and Taylor James Lundergan of Loudon NH.  She is also survived by her cousin Dot Umlah of Malden, MA, her brother-in-law Richard Taylor of Framingham, MA, several nieces and nephews and beloved extended family members.  We wish to also mention her special friends David and Charlotte Hart of Bradford, MA and Barbara Tavitian of Plaistow, NH.

Helen was predeceased by her sister, Virginia (White) and her husband, Maynard Hollingsworth of Keene, NH; brother-in-law and sister-in-law David and Ruth Taylor of Woburn, MA; and sister-in-law Margaret (Peggy) Taylor of Medford, MA.

The family wishes to express their most sincere gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the Tufts Medicine Care at Home and High Pointe Hospice House, for all of their care and compassion over these past few weeks.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Helen's name to High Pointe Hospice House, 360 North Avenue, Haverhill, MA 01830.

Family and friends may visit Friday September 22, 2023, from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM at the Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH.

A graveside service will take place at 1:00 PM in Plaistow Cemetery.
