Haverhill, MA:  Helen C. (Dupuis) McLaughlin, 90, of Haverhill, died on December 7, 2019 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Boston, MA, surrounded by her loving family.

A native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, and daughter of the late Francis O. and Roseanna (Beauregard) Dupuis, she attended St. Joseph Grammar School and Tilton School and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1948.   Helen worked in the local shoe factories and for WHAV, a radio station in Haverhill, and in later years, she provided childcare in her home to family and neighborhood families.

She was a member of All Saints Parish and the former Saint Joseph Parish, and was a member and president of the St. Joseph Bowling League.  She was also a longtime volunteer for the parish holiday bazaar and the parish Bingo program. Helen enjoyed country line dancing, playing cards, painting and wallpapering, and was a very devoted mother and grandmother.

The widow of the late John J. McLaughlin, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by a daughter, Jane E. McLaughlin of Haverhill, five sons, John E. McLaughlin of Haverhill, Brian D. McLaughlin and his wife, Christine of Holly Springs, MS, Kevin M. McLaughlin and his wife, Kim of Memphis, TN, Mark A. McLaughlin and his wife, Cindi of Kingston, NH, Peter F. McLaughlin of Haverhill; seven grandchildren, Maureen McLaughlin, Sean McLaughlin, Mark McLaughlin, Sean McLaughlin, Caleb McLaughlin, Kyle McLaughlin and Corey McLaughlin; and four great-grandchildren, Kayla, Devin, Christian and Lilly.  She was pre-deceased by a sister, Pauline Cardran and grandchildren Paul McLaughlin and Theresa McLaughlin.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, December 12, 2019, from 5 to 8 PM at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.  Her funeral will begin on Friday, December 13, 2019, at 9 AM from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in All Saints Church, Haverhill.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
