Plaistow: Helen Ann (Gibbs) Gusler, 69, a resident of Plaistow since 1989, died Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Exeter Hospital.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised and educated in Winthrop, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph D. and Helen E (Butler) Gibbs. A member of the Winthrop High School Class of 1973, Helen Ann went on to attend Essex Agricultural and Technical High School and received her Certificate in Retail Merchandising.
Helen Ann's work career was mostly in Human Resources, working for numerous businesses most notably with the Plaistow Wal-Mart when it was first opened. She later worked as a Certified Trainer for Home Interiors & Gifts.
Helen Ann was a volunteer and supporter of several Plaistow charities and community organizations. She established the Plaistow Clothing Closet and was active in the Pollard School PTA and the Plaistow "Firehouse Widows". She was a longtime supportive parent as a member of the Timberlane Regional High School Music Association. She enjoyed creating hand-made greeting cards and trips to Prince Edward Island.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of forty-five years, Bruce E. Gusler, a son, Bruce E. Gusler, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Plaistow, a daughter April R. Sprague and her husband Larry of Plaistow; three brothers, Joseph Gibbs of Santa Rosa, CA, and William Gibbs and John Gibbs of Salem, NH; two grandchildren, Matthew Gusler and Katelyn Gusler. She was eagerly awaiting the birth of her third grandchild.
Private funeral services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.
