Obituary

Haverhill – Helen Dul, 99, died Wednesday February 1, 2023 at her home. following a period of failing.

She was born January 18, 1924 in Halinow, Poland, the daughter of the late Josef and Tekla (Laszczyk) Michalak.

She was predeceased by her husband Frank of 67 years, whom she met while in a labor camp in Austria in World War II. After the war they immigrated to Italy and England and then came to America in 1951and settled here in Haverhill.

Helen had worked as a fancy stitcher for Goldberg Shoe. She enjoyed sewing, making clothes, and cooking polish food. In her retirement years she enjoyed shopping and having lunch with her dear friend Mrs. Evans and spending time with her family.

Members of her family include her son Joseph and her daughter in-law Linda, a daughter Barbara Hampton of Twin Falls, Idaho; two grandsons, Jeremy Dul; Benjamin Hampton and fiancé Madeline; three granddaughters Shawna Gallian and her husband Chris, Jennifer Dul and her husband Alvaro and Becky Dul and her long term partner Greg; seven great grandchildren Kasia, Bowen, Ariana, Timbra, Parker, Jackson and Sophie. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews in Europe.

Family and friends may visit Thursday February 9, 2023 from 10AM to 11AM at the Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. MA.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM in the funeral home, with burial to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider sending a plant in Helen's memory.
