Obituary


Helen T. (Gormley) Blinn, 81, passed away on May 21, 2012 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton, MA following a brief illness.



Born in Haverhill, she attended St. Joseph grammar school.



She was employed first at the Western Electric Company and later at Raytheon Company and was a co-owner with her late husband of Atlantic Swimming Pool Company of Haverhill and ABC Video.



A woman of strong faith that sustained her during the difficult times of her life, she was a longtime member of All Saints Parish of Haverhill, the former St. Joseph Parish, the Ladies of St. Anne Society and the Haverhill Women's City Club.She enjoyed making a home for her husband and family and working in her yard.She looked forward to daytrips to the beach, trips to Foxwoods, playing bingo and the many times she spent with her family.



The wife of the late Albert R. Blinn who died in 1994 and grandmother of the late Michael J. Ward who died in 2000 she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Nancy A. and Charles Ward of Florida and Deborah L. and Ronald Auclair of Haverhill; two sisters Marion Byrnes of Melrose and Dorothy Kamal of Hampstead, NH; three grandchildren Julie A. (Ward) DaSilva and her husband Michael of Danville, NH, Haley A. Auclair and Janelle P. Auclair both of Haverhill; two step grandchildren Kimberly Melanson and her husband Richard of Maine and Michael Auclair of Haverhill; a great grandson Noah M. DaSilva; step great-grandchildren Michael DaSilva, Jr. and Marcella Melanson.



Relatives and friends may call on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in All Saints Church, Haverhill.Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.Donations in her name may be made to St. Anne's Home Inc., 100A Haverhill Street, Methuen, MA01844.
