Danville, NH: Greta L. (Ryan) Smithers, 93, of Danville, NH, died on July 3, 2019 at Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Georgetown, MA, the daughter of the late John and Grace (Dawkins) Ryan, Greta was raised and educated in Haverhill. She worked as an assembler at Western Electric for ten years. A devoted wife, mother, and sister, Greta's passion in life was her family, as well as horses and the beach, in particular Seabrook.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her four sons, Robert Smithers and his wife Marcia of Fort Myers, FL, Brian Smithers of Danville, NH, Daniel Smithers of Gloucester, MA, and James Smithers of Chester, NH, her five grandchildren Chad, Amy, Kerry, Danielle, and Scott, ten great grandchildren Zoe, Brady, Joshua, Ricky, Justice, Jaythan, Alina, Alex, Madison, and Sophia. Predeceased by her four siblings Richard Ryan, Donald Ryan, John Ryan, and Doris (Ryan) Therrien.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday July 9, 2019 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH.
