Haverhill: Gregory R. Aloi, 87, of Haverhill and formerly of Atkinson and Farmington NH., died Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Aspen Hill Healthcare Center in Haverhill.
Born in Boston, son of the late Frederick and Rose (Caruso) Aloi, he was raised in Everett and Malden, Massachusetts and graduated from Malden High School. He was also the stepson of the late Gaetano Chiampa. He worked for many years as a salesman for several office supply companies and before retiring was employed by Alexander's Supply Co. of New York.
Mr. Aloi settled in Atkinson, NH in 1968 and resided there until relocating to Farmington in 2002 before moving back to Atkinson several years ago. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, his two granddaughters were the light of his life. He was a skilled woodworker and crafted several heirloom pieces of furniture for his family. He enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends and hosting in his home for the holidays.
Predeceased in 2002 by his devoted and loving wife Gail L. (Reinhold) Aloi, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son and daughter-in-law, Frederick C. and Patricia Aloi, of Atkinson, his granddaughters Brianna Aloi and Emily Aloi, a brother and sister-in-law Frederick J. and Marcia Aloi, of Plum Island, MA, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Katherine Peva.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours to be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will follow at 5:15 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring in Atkinson Cemetery, Atkinson, NH.
