Ross
February 13, 1920 – August 14, 2020
Danville, NH: Grace S. (Crisafulli) Ross, 100 a resident of Danville for over fifty-five years, died peacefully at her home on August 14, 2020.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, raised in the Mission Hill neighborhood and daughter of the late Frank and Maria (Torre) Crisafulli, she attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Grammar School and graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help High School. She also graduated Burdett College and attended the Stratford Finishing School, Boston.
Mrs. Ross was employed for thirty-nine years as the supervisor of the Accounting Department at National Cash Register until her retirement in 1984 and later worked serving meals to seniors at Longwood Towers in Boston.
A longtime member of Saint Anne's Parish of Hampstead, Mrs. Ross was a volunteer for Children's Hospital at Walmart as well as for the Meals on Wheels program at the Vic Geary Center and The Salvation Army. She was a past member of the Red Hat Society as well as an honorary member of Iron Wheel Park Association, the Booth Memorial Girls, and the Retired Nurses' Association. At her 100 th birthday celebration this past winter which was attended by numerous family member and friends, she was presented with a Certificate of Honorary Lifetime Membership in the Long Pond Protective Association, a commemorative plaque by the Town of Danville and a very special "Mission Hill" cane by her friends.
Mrs. Ross remained active and aware up until the end of her life and she enjoyed reading, gardening, exercising and playing Bocce, and was lucky to have travelled extensively all over the world during her lifetime.
Predeceased in 1995 by her husband, Philip R. Ross, and recently by her sister Frances Mulhall, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews, including: Cathy (Mulhall) Spack, Danny Mulhall, Francis Mulhall, Mark Mulhall, Michael Mulhall, Sean Mulhall, Ann Marie (Mulhall) Briggs, Maureen Fico and Kathy and Jim Patten, as well as Joy Draper and close friends Jacqueline Raffi and Carolyn Dubois, and the Little Sisters of St. Francis in Danville.
The family and friends would like to thank the staff of 360 Degrees Senior Home Services and the Rockingham VNA and Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion extended to Mrs. Ross during the last several months.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday morning, August 20, 2020 from 9 to 10 a.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. in Saint Anne's Church, Emerson Avenue, Hampstead and followed by burial in Holy Angels Cemetery, East Road, Plaistow, NH. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Meals on Wheels Program at the Vic Geary Center, 18 Greenough Road, Plaistow, NH .
