Hampstead, NH:  Grace E. Prophet, 94, of Hampstead, NH and of Haverhill, MA, died Sunday, August 19, 2018, at Lawrence General Hospital.  Grace and her family appreciated the kind and consistent care she received at the Lawrence General Hospital Emergency Room and Floor 4 and 5, and at the Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital and Salem Haven Nursing Rehabilitation Center.  Our deep appreciation to the LNA's, nurses, doctors and staff during her stays there.

Born in Lawrence, MA, Grace was the daughter of the late Andrew and Susan (Milligan) Morrison.  She graduated from Lawrence High School and Katherine Gibbs in Boston, MA.  She worked as a Regional Representative for New England Telephone Company training operators in many areas of New England.  She also worked for D. J. Casey Paper Company in Haverhill for many years until her retirement.  Grace loved to knit, bake and spend time with her adored granddaughters.  She loved to spend time outdoors on her deck and at the beach in Maine with her family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Prophet, Sr.  She leaves her daughters, Elizabeth Prophet, Margaret "Peg" Prophet, Cynthia Purcell, Joyce Morrison and her significant other, Paul, all of NH and her son, Stanley, Jr. and his wife, Bernadette of Haverhill,  granddaughters, Taylor Morrison of Maine, Kelly Purcell and her spouse, Kurt of NH, Chelsea Morrison of NY and great-granddaughter, Eva.  She also leaves her sister, Marjorie Sandarg of NY and nieces, nephews and dear friends.  Grace was also predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Conant.

Per Grace's wishes, there will be no calling hours and there will be a private family service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Salem Animal Rescue League (SARL) where her beloved dog, Snickers, was adopted from or to the charity of one's choice.
