Gloria Greathouse, age 69, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 15, 2015.

She was born on June 18, 1945 in Newburyport, MA the daughter of the late Ernest and Jennie (Krzcuik) Wing. She was raised and educated in Newburyport.

Gloria was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful cook who will be remembered for her cornbread and fried chicken. She had a passion for murder mysteries and forensic stories. She loved to decorate her home and collect all kinds of knick knacks. She also loved her dog, Sally.

She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Joseph C. Greathouse, Sr. who passed away in 2002. She is survived by her children; Barbara J. Riley and husband, John of Salem, NH, Debra Greathouse-Farrell of Groveland, MA, Vickie Krafton and husband, Robert of Haverhill, MA, Joseph C. Greathouse of Haverhill, MA and Jenny Greathouse of Haverhill, MA. Eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive her.
