Brentwood, NH:  Gertrude E. (Thieme) Anderson, 96, formerly of Newton, NH, died on January 1, 2021 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, NH.

Born in Ossining, NY, the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Louise (Hammann) Thieme, she was raised and educated in Reading, MA and graduated from Reading High School with the Class of 1942.  Mrs. Anderson worked as a Bookkeeper for local companies.  She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star of Salem, NH.

The widow of the late John Anderson who died in 1979, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons John R. Anderson, Jr. and his wife, Helen of Martha's Vineyard, Robert J. Anderson and his wife, Kathleen of Antrim, NH; two daughters, Paula J. Lawrence of Amarillo, TX and Joy E. Potash and her husband, Elliott of Newton, NH; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Chester and Homer Thieme and a sister, Elvira Poore.
