Kingston, NH: Gerard E. Jalbert, Jr., "Gerry", 73, of Kingston, passed away at home with his family by his side, on August 6, 2020, after a lengthy illness.
Born and raised in Sanford, Maine, he was the son of the late Gerard and Monique (Chardin) Jalbert. Gerry was a graduate of St. Ignatius High School, Class of 1966, and a graduate of New Hampshire College, Class of 1989, proudly earning a Bachelor of Science degree. After high school Gerry joined the U.S. Army serving his country in Vietnam twice. Once he returned home from the military, he began a family with his wife, and he worked very hard to not just support them but also to have a life full of love and memorable times. Among his many work experiences was employment at Raytheon's Missile Systems Division in Andover, MA and Letter Carrier for the U.S. Post Office in Billerica, MA.
Gerry enjoyed watching the Patriots and Celtics and collecting sports memorabilia from the local teams. In his younger years he was a great competitor in sports and was particularly proud of helping his St. Ignatius basketball team win the Maine State Championship in 1966. Gerry's greatest joy came from spending time with his family and creating memories they will never forget. From taking several cruises with his wife, Pat, to the many road trips to Canada to visit relatives, Gerry loved his family and adored being pepere' to his grandchildren. Christmas was a favorite time of year as Gerry loved to decorate for the holidays, spreading joy and good cheer to all who came near.
Gerry will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of forty-five years, Patricia (Boucher) Jalbert, sons, Matthew White and his wife Amy of Haverhill, MA, Jason White of Plaistow, NH, Ryan Jalbert and his wife November of Hampstead, NH, daughter, Danielle Kittredge and her husband Chad of Plaistow, NH, grandchildren, Sydney, Joshua, Madison, Cameron, Logan, Gavin, Riley, Aubrey, Chloe, Shelby, Caleb, step-grandchildren, Jacob, Nathan, Victoria, brothers, John Jalbert of Alfred, ME, Paul Jalbert of N.
