Danville, NH: Gerald A. David, 86, of Danville, NH, died on June 17, 2025, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, NH., surrounded by his loving and devoted family.
Born in Haverhill, MA, the son of the late Oliver and Anna (Moran) David, he graduated from Haverhill Trade School and later attended Southern New Hampshire College. Jerry served in the United States Air Force from 1957 until 1961 as an Airman Second Class and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. Jerry worked as a Quality Inspector and Supervisor at Lucent Technologies for several years before his retirement.
Jerry was a former member of St. James Parish, Haverhill and attended Holy Angels Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Plaistow. He was a resident of Port Charlotte, FL and North Port, FL for twenty years before returning to the area and settling in Danville, NH. An avid reader, Jerry enjoyed taking leisurely walks. Sports played a large part in his life. He was a member of his high school football and baseball teams and was also a member of the Lucent Technologies Softball Team, and he enjoyed golfing and playing tennis.
Jerry is survived by his devoted wife of fifty-five years, Anne M. (O'Brien) David; three daughters, Kelly A. Rivard and her husband, Brian of Danville and Jacqueline M. Clark and her husband, Charlie of Danville; Deanna J. Johnson and her husband, Donald of Salem, NH; a son, Gerald A. David, Jr. and his wife, Anne M. of Bradford, MA; a sister, Anna Welch of Falmouth, MA; eight grandchildren, Jason, Amanda, Jared, Brianne, Donald, Tyler, Samantha and Nicholas; two great grandchildren, Laney and Stella; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jerry was predeceased by his daughter, Cheryl Donohue in 1979 and predeceased by his brothers Oliver David and Robert David and his sisters Agnes Groves and Katherine Murphy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 2 to 4 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH with a funeral service following at 4:15 PM in the funeral home. The rendering of Air Force military honors will conclude the service at 4:45 PM outside at our Military Honors area.
