Haverhill: George R. Souza, Jr., 53, a resident of Haverhill since 2018, died peacefully at his home from natural causes on Thursday, July 11, 2019.
Born in Lowell, son of George R. Souza, Sr. and the late Janet (Collins) Souza, he was raised and educated in Pelham, attending local schools. He was employed most recently as a charity fund raiser, and had previously worked selling cars for Joe Souza's Auto Sales of Methuen. A former longtime resident of Lowell, and formerly of Chicopee, Fall River and Maine, George was a former member of Saint Patrick's Parish of Pelham. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, trips to Foxwoods and Mohigan Sun and especially enjoyed owning several muscle cars in the last several years.
He is survived by his daughter Danielle Souza of Methuen, his father, George R. Souza, Sr. of North Andover, a brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Jill Souza of Salem, NH, a sister and brother-in-law, Christine L. and Edward J. Guy III, of Haverhill, four nieces, Celeste Souza, Cecilia Souza, Carmela Souza and Liza Guy, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Relatives and friends are incite to attend calling hours to be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. His funeral service will follow at 7:15 p.m. in the funeral home.
