Haverhill, MA:  Gentjana (Hajro) Murati, 43, of Haverhill and formerly of Lynn, died on August 26, 2017 at her home.

Born in Cerik Albgson, Albania, the daughter of the late Gazeli Hajro and Sofije (Pasha) Hajro, she attended Tirana University and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics.  She came to the United States in 1998 and became a U.S. citizen in 2007.  She worked as a Branch Manager for Citizen's Bank in Chelmsford and also worked for Bank of America and TD Bank.  She graduated from the Nursing Program at Northern Essex Community College this year and had enrolled and been accepted into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Curry College for the Fall semester.

Gentjana was a young and beautiful mother, wife and daughter.  A member of the West Congregational Church in Haverhill, she was an avid reader and an artist who enjoyed painting in oils.  She also enjoyed sewing, decorating, cooking, and home designing.  Having received her certification in Early Childhood Education, she was an active volunteer at many local schools where her children attended, including Moody, Golden Hill, Tilton, Nettle and Haverhill High School.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Kadri Murati; three sons, Justin K. Murati, Kadri Murati, Jr. and Julian A. Murati, all of Haverhill, her mother, Sofije (Pasha) Hajro of Albania; a brother, Roland Hajro of Albania and a sister, Floreta Bruzi of Albania; and several aunts, uncles, a niece and cousins in Albania.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 5 to 8 PM at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.  Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 10 AM in the funeral home followed by burial in Hillside Cemetery, Haverhill.
