Atkinson, NH: Gail S. (Schettino) Budzyna, 68, of Atkinson, died January 1, 2021 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of Marie (Manganaro) Schettino and the late Vincent J. Schettino. She was primarily raised in Tewksbury, MA and attended local schools, graduating Tewksbury High School with the Class of 1971.

Gail was employed at Raytheon as a young woman and more recently worked for many years as a para-professional in the Timberlane Regional School District until 2018. She attended Saint Anne's Church in Hampstead and volunteered as a Girl Scout leader when her daughters were younger. She also gave her time to the Sun' n Fun Summer Camp at Atkinson Academy, spending some time as the Program Director.

Gail was devoted to her grandson Dominic, and enjoyed spending her time around Big Island Pond near her home during the summer months. A huge Elvis fan, she also had wonderful memories of trips to Florida and Hawaii with her late husband, Walter, and enjoyed taking care of her dog, Rocco. She freely gave of her time to others and was lovingly known to many as "Mom", "Aunty Gail" and "Grammy B".

Predeceased by her husband Walter R. Budzyna, in 2016 and her daughter Deidre A. Budzyna in 2008, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Nicole M. and Carl DiFranco, of Atkinson, her grandson Dominic V. DiFranco of Atkinson, her mother Marie (Manganaro) Schettino of Tewksbury, a sister-in-law Lisa Schettino of Parkland, Florida, a sister-in-law Irene (Budzyna) Chenard and her husband Richard of Dracut, MA, two nieces, Christine Shipley and  Madison Schettino and a nephew Dylan Schettino. She was also predeceased by her brother Vincent J. Schettino.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Gail's Life Celebration to be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH, following the State of New Hampshire guidelines for the wearing of masks and social distancing. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with private burial to follow in the Polish National Cemetery in Methuen. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Deidre A. Budzyna Scholarship Fund, c/o Timberlane Regional High School, 30 Greenough Rd., Plaistow, NH.
