Atkinson, NH:Frederick J. Blaisdell, Sr, 75, of Atkinson, NH, died peacefully on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family.



Born in Groveland, MA, son of the late John L. and Esther (Sweetser) Blaisdell, he was raised and educated in Groveland, MA.He attended Haverhill High School and graduated from Haverhill Trade School in 1957, and earned a varsity letter while playing on the varsity football team as a full back.He served as an Airman First Class in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era.He worked as a Manager for the New England Telephone Company from 1962 to 1992 and retired as the Northeast Regional Manager.



He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan who enjoyed sailing and reading.



He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Perry) Blaisdell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Nancy Blaisdell of Stratham and Thomas J. and Pamela Blaisdell of Hampton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carmen L. and Peter Denn of Groveland, MA and Pamela J. and Peter Thayer of Harrisville, NH; two sisters, Barbara Wilbur and Esther Roche, both of Groveland, MA; seven grandchildren, Kerry Denn, Kelsey Denn, Jessie Blaisdell, Hayden Blaisdell, Quinn Thayer, Haley Blaisdell and Conor Blaisdell, and several nieces and nephews.He was predeceasedby brothers, Joseph Blaisdell, John Blaisdell and William Blaisdell, and sisters, Anna Hatch, Mary LaBranche and Alice Buckley.



Relatives and friends may call on Friday, January 4, 2013, from 3 to 6 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, (Plaistow Village) 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.
