Frank E. Simard, 79, of Newburyport, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday May 11, 2026, at his home after a long illness.

Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Henry L. and C. Lorraine (Sabourin) Simard, and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1965. Frank went on to further his education at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, Class of 1970. For many years Frank was a well-respected Pharmacist, until following his true passion in life, photography. Frank was a founding member of the Rivers Edge Photographic Society in Haverhill where he spent much of his time doing photo shoots and hosting educational workshops.

Frank will be remembered as a kind and gentle man with a warm sense of humor and a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He found great joy in capturing the world through his camera lens, sharing music with friends, enjoying good food, and spending time with those he loved. Whether enjoying a lively jazz tune, taking part in the fellowship of the Elks, or reflecting on his service as an Army Reservist, Frank carried himself with quiet pride, generosity, and grace.

Frank will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sister, Claire Linehan of Plaistow, New Hampshire, his niece Sherry Linehan and her partner Alex Vellette, great nieces Audrey and Hannah of Raymond, New Hampshire, his daughter Danielle Casa, granddaughter Sophia Sorci, sister-in-law Mary Simard, niece Genevieve Simard, cousin, Cathy Simard and her husband, Thomas Crandall, as well as survived by many extended family members. Frank was predeceased by his brother Paul Simard of Bristol, New Hampshire.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to calling hours, with Frank’s urn, on Thursday June 25th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, New Hampshire. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice in honor of Frank.
