Born in Jata, Poland, he was the son of the late John and Mary Dul and served in the Polish Army during WWII. Immigrating to the United States in 1951 and settling in Haverhill, he worked in the local shoe industry and as a cable assembler for ten years for Honeywell, until his retirement.
He was a member of All Saints Parish, Haverhill and the former St. Michael's Parish, as well as the Pulaski Club. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable and flower gardens and working and doing repairs around his home. He also enjoyed relaxing in his driveway while discussing politics and history with his friends. Mr. Dul was a very giving person, especially to his family, friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Michalak) Dul, a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph S. and Linda Dul of Haverhill; a daughter, Barbara Hampton of Twin Falls, Idaho; two grandsons, Jeremy Dul and his wife, Sarah and Benjamin Hampton; three granddaughters, Shawna Gallian and her husband, Chris, Jenniferl Dul and her fiancé, Al Periera and Rebecca Dul; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, April 25, 2013, from 4 to 7 PM at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home,47 Broadway (Rt. 97), Haverhill, MA. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013, at 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill.
