Plaistow NH: Francis X. Lynn, 83, of Plaistow, and formerly a longtime resident of Groveland, MA, died Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Portsmouth, NH Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving and supportive family. Born and raised in Melrose, MA, son of the late John and Marion (Wightman) Lynn, he attended local schools and graduated from Melrose High School where he met the love of his life, Katherine Adams. Together they raised their two daughters Sherry and Kathy and shared fifty-eight years of marriage until Katherine's death in 2019. He was a devoted husband and father, grandfather, and great grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his multi-generational family.
Francis was employed as a quality control specialist at Lighthouse Manufacturing of Peabody at the time of his retirement and had previously been employed as a quality control inspector at General Electric Co. in Lynn. A member of Saint Anne's Parish of Hampstead, Francis enjoyed spending time with his wife in Newburyport, shopping and walking around taking in all that the city had to offer. He also enjoyed nature and being kind to animals. His favorite pastime was sitting on his front porch watching the world go by and dining out at Mr. Mike's. He also enjoyed every new car that he purchased over the years.
Predeceased in 2019 by his devoted wife of fifty-eight years, Katherine (Adams) Lynn, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry A. and Brian W Warner of Haverhill, and Katherine M. and Daniel A. Bosse of Sandown, NH; three grandchildren, Courtney Troisi and her husband Vincent, Amanda Day and Brittany Colon and her husband Alex; four great-grandchildren, Gianna, Aria, Wesley and Emmitt; and his loving companion Flo Walsh of Hampstead.
