Kingston, NH: Francis E. "Frank" Libby, 81, a resident of Kingston for the last thirty-four years, died on March 1, 2021, at Exeter Hospital, one day shy of his eighty-second birthday.
Born in Peabody, MA, son of the late Frank and Ethel (Massison) Libby, he was raised and educated in Salem, MA. Mr. Libby, was employed by the Archdiocese of Boston Catholic Cemeteries for fifty years, retiring in 2004 as the Regional Superintendent. During his long career working in the local catholic cemeteries he earned the respect of his coworkers, and superiors as well as the many families and funeral directors that he served over the years.
He was a member of Saint Joseph Parish of Epping and was a fifty-six year Friend of Bill and a longtime dedicated sponsor and mentor of hundreds of people in their time of need.
Mr. Libby loved working with his hands, crafting wooden yard ornaments and furniture for his home and those of his family and friends. He had great memories of boating on Kingston Lake and enjoyed every aspect of his very large family and all of the wonderful friends that he met along the way.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of forty-four years, Joan C. (Arathuzik) Libby, two sons, Edward Libby of Peabody, MA, and Peter Panos of Seabrook, NH, four daughters, Kathleen Macchi, of Salisbury, MA, Doreen Panos of Peabody, Dawn Panos, of East Boston and Lori Morneau of Exeter, NH, three sisters, Sandra Konopka and her husband John of Peabody, Winifred Condon of Salem, MA, and Patricia Bulger of South Carolina, also eighteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.. He was predeceased by his brother, William Libby and a sister, Ann Birmingham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mr. Libby's Life Celebration to be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH, under the State of New Hampshire guidelines for social distancing and the wearing of masks. His funeral service on Monday will be private at the funeral home followed by burial in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Salem, MA. The family requests that memorial donations be made to The American Cancer Society of the American Heart Association.
