Plaistow, NH: Francesca R. Ferrara Hanson, 35, of Plaistow died on December 26, 2025, at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Americo and Donna (DiStefano) Ferrara. Francesca lived first in Medford and later moved to Haverhill, MA at the age of five and began her education in local schools. She moved to Plaistow with her family in 2003 and continued her education, graduating from Timberlane Regional High School with the Class of 2008. Francesca was employed as a waitress in local restaurants and as a clerical administrator at local companies.

A member of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish of Plaistow, she was a devoted mother to her son Ricky. She enjoyed trips to the beach and Cape Cod, enjoyed spending time with her large extended family of cousins and was known as a kind and loving woman.

Francesca was predeceased by her husband Nicholas E. Hanson and is survived by her son, Ricky Neil Ferrara Hanson of Plaistow, her parents, Americo and Donna (DiStefano) Ferrara, of Plaistow, her brother Christopher M. Ferrara of Plaistow, her maternal grandfather, Angelo DiStefano of Salem, NH, and several aunts uncles and cousins. She was also predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Angelina (Cartolano) DiStefano, and her paternal grandparents, George and Florence (Bevilacqua) Ferrara.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Francesca's calling hours to be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will begin at 1:15 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
