East Hampstead, N.H. - Frances (Hinds) Lieber, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Raymond Lieber Jr. with whom she spent 61 years of marriage.
Born October 3, 1937, in Haverhill, MA, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Pauline (Archibald) Hinds. She was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1955. She was a beloved bus driver for Hampstead Schools and Pinkerton Academy for thirteen years. She also was a dedicated worker at Raytheon in North Andover, MA for eight years. She enjoyed knitting, baking, camping, and playing card games with her four daughters. She cherished her time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Fran is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Dawna Lieber and Kendra Maroon, Jefferson, ME., Nancy Mahoney, Pittsfield, NH., Linda and Steven Harms, Fremont, NH., and Brenda and Richard Duquette, East Hampstead, NH., her sister Elizabeth (Hinds) Lorence, San Bernardino, CA., her brother and sister-in-law Fred and Dianne Hinds, Plaistow, NH., her brother-in-law Robert Lieber, Plaistow, NH., her grandchildren Amanda (Mahoney) and Nick Gallo, Pittsfield, NH., Joseph Duquette, Fremont, NH., Heather (Duquette) and Roberto Ranno, Londonderry, NH., and Benjamin Harms, Fremont, NH., her great-grandchildren Luca and Eliana Ranno and Jace Gallo. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Hinds, her sister Barbara Hinds, her brother-in-law Thomas Lorence, her sister-in-law Janet Lieber, her son-in-law, Christopher Mahoney, her niece, Debra (Lieber) Walker, and her great-grandson, Dylan Gallo, who died in infancy.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow. A funeral service will follow at 6:15 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held for the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association.
