Groveland: Evelyn R. (Blinn) Royer, 82, a resident of Groveland for the past fifteen years, died peacefully on November 15, 2021 at the Baker-Katz Nursing Home in Haverhill.
Born and raised in Haverhill, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Crockett) Blinn, she attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and Haverhill High School. She was employed as an inspector at Western Electric Co. AT&T Technologies and Lucent Technologies until her retirement.
A longtime former resident of Dauntless Lane in Plaistow, she was also a twenty-five year resident of 12 th Street, Salisbury Beach until moving to Groveland in 2006. She was a member of Saint Joseph Parish of Haverhill, Holy Angels Parish of Plaistow and All Saints Parish of Haverhill.
Mrs. Royer was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister, and enjoyed flower gardening, decorating her homes, cooking and entertaining family and friends, playing bingo and attending yard sales and spending times at the beach.
Predeceased in 2011 by her husband of fifty-four years, Frederick J.L. Royer, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Frederick R. Royer of Hooksett, two daughters, Karen M. Royer-Twomey, of Salisbury, and Pamela J. Lacroix and her husband R.J. of Hampton, NH, two brothers, John Blinn and Charles "Buzzy" Blinn and a sister Linda Pinette, all of Plaistow, grandchildren Shelly Whelan, Kate Wood, Shannon Bouchard, Shauna Andreoli, William Feeney, Daniel Pinette and Timothy Royer-Twomey, great grandchildren, Declan, Bennett, Lewis, Jacob, Matthew, Hannah, and two great-great grandchildren, Jacob and Blair and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, MA. Burial will follow in Plaistow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to: The American Lung Association, 460 Toten Pond Rd., #400, Waltham, MA. The Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA, or Baker-Katz Activity Fund, 194 Boardman St., Haverhill, MA 01830.
