Haverhill, MA; Eva M. Shea, 76, died Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at her home after a period of declining health.
Born, raised and educated in Lowell, Massachusetts, daughter to the late Richard E. and Anna (Porter) Pelland. She went on to work as an office manager for the Boston Carpenters Union for many years before retiring.
Eva enjoyed splitting her time between her camp on Baxter Lake in Rochester, New Hampshire and with her loving family in Haverhill. She loved her daytime soap operas and had fun learning to tap dance. In her younger years, she was a champion roller skater.
Eva will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, Brian McCarthy of Whitinsville, MA and Sean McCarthy and his wife, Karen of Andover, MA; son-in-law, David Willoughby of Bridgewater, MA; five grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica, Isabella, Jack and Sean Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Mila; sister-in-law, Gayle Pelland of Haverhill, MA; close friend, Sharon Brennan of Haverhill, MA; and her beloved golden retriever, Abbey. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Kelly Willoughby and her brothers, Richard "Dick" Pelland, Jr. and Alfred Giroux and his wife, Lucille.
Relatives and friends are invited to Eva's Life Celebration to be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 9-11am at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home,116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am at Holy Angels Church of St. Luke The Evangelist Parish, 8 Atkinson Depot Rd., Plaistow, NH Burial will follow in the family lot at St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill, MA.
