Ethel Mae Jones peacefully passed away on April 25, 2018 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, with family at her side.  She was the wife of the late Thomas G. Jones Jr.

She was born in Lawrence, MA on August 26, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Edward and Natalie (Wheeler) Dennis. She grew up in Salem, N.H. and was educated in the local school system.

She was compassionate as a homemaker and mother; this kindheartedness extended to her mother, brother, and aunt as she cared for them in their final days of need.

In recent years, she enjoyed being an active participant in a local assisted living facility, where she resided temporarily.  She was recognized for her humanity and volunteering and was always known for spreading cheer.

Persevering through her own illness, she made many new friends within her Dialysis community.  She always found time to be a prankster and bring smiles to others.

Along with her interests of crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, and board game nights, Ethel enjoyed hitting the road looking for a shopping bargain with her "trouble buddy". Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Ethel leaves behind her children Mark Kimball and wife Linda of Exeter, NH; Daughter Tina Sharrock of Swansey, NH; Daughter Lisa Curtis of Bradenton, FL; Daughter Nicole Thompson and husband Douglas of Plaistow, NH; Brothers William and his wife Sherri of Anacortes, WA; Bobby and his wife Dolly of Salem, NH;  David of Deerfield, NH; Sisters Cindy Gagne of Litchfield, NH; Betty Ann Parker of Palm Desert, CA; Gail Thomas of Kittery, ME. She was preceded in death by brothers Larry, Jimmy, Edward, and sisters Caroline Scott and Mary Mosher. She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

Relatives and friends may attend Ethel's Life Celebration on Thursday, May 3, 2018, from 5 to 8 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH.  Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Atkinson Cemetery, Atkinson, NH.
