Ernest A. "Ernie" Morgan, 60, a native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, died Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House.

Son of the late Ernest E. and Jeanette (Perrozzi) Morgan, he was educated locally and attended HaverhillHigh School and NorthernEssexCommunity College.

Mr. Morgan was employed for over twenty-five years as a test technician at Western Electric Co., A. T. & T. Technologies and Lucent Technologies and has been employed for the last seven years as the sexton of the Atkinson Congregational Church.

An avid skier, Mr. Morgan was a longtime EMT and member of the Ski Patrol at Bradford Ski Area. He also formerly coached for Haverhill Little League Baseball and the Haverhill Youth Football League and was a member of the Lucent Men's Softball Team.

He is survived by his best friend and wife of twenty-nine years, Andrea (Maguire) Morgan, two sons, Eric J. Morgan and his fiancé Sarah H. Lauridsen of South Royalston, VT, and Brian J. Morgan of Haverhill, a daughter and son-in-law, Brooke J. and Jarod M. Schena of Haverhill, a sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Phil Mathews of Boulder Creek, CA., two nieces, two nephews, and several aunts, uncles and cousins and his dog and best buddy "Marley" of Haverhill.

Relatives and friends may call on Monday, March 5, 2012 from 4 to 6:45 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. His funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A family burial service will take place in SaintPatrickCemetery at a later date.
