Groveland, MA:Ernest "Sonny"'Joseph Goudreault, Jr., age 82 of Groveland, MA, passed away peacefully at his home with his family at his side on Saturday, July 14, 2012.



He was born on July 29, 1929 in Haverhill, the son of Ernest and Leona Goudreault.He served his county in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. Ernest retired from Lucent Technologies in No. Andover with over thirty years of service.



He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, walks with his brother, Bob and spending time with his grandkids.



Ernest was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Rice).He is survived by his daughter, Judith Ann Harriman of Groveland, his son, James Ernest Goudreault and his wife, Deborah Susan of Chester, NH.Brothers, Alfred Goudreault, Wilfred Goudreault, Edward Goudreault and Raymond Goudreault.Sister, Lillian (Goudreault)(German) Cherneski. Grandchildren, Samuel and Emma Goudreault and Christopher and Anna Harriman.Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him.He was also predeceased by his brothers, Leonard Goudreault and Robert Goudreault.



Friends and family are invited to call on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Rt. 121A, in Plaistow, NH.His funeral will begin on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at 8:45 AM at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Church, 114 Center St., Groveland.Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery in Haverhill.
