Elsie Hetherington Suchodolski, 101, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2022, at the Nevins Nursing and Rehab Centre, Methuen, MA.

Ms. Suchodolski was born in Methuen, Massachusetts on October 10, 1920.  At age two her family moved to South Barre, Massachusetts where her father worked as a wool sorter.  Elsie returned to Methuen with two older brothers Joseph and William and her two younger sisters Florence and Mildred while she was in the fifth grade.  She graduated from the Searles High School, Methuen, MA in 1938.  In 1939 Elsie became employed at the Arlington Mills as a pattern maker where she later met her husband Emil E. Suchodolski.  Ms. Suchodolski also attended the McIntosh Business School in Lawrence, MA.

Elsie lived and worked in Lawrence, MA with her husband Emil and her son Edward.  She was employed at Western Electric and Bell Laboratories in North Andover, Massachusetts and was assigned as an ordering clerk for engineers at the Bell Laboratories.  Her husband Emil was also employed at Western Electric as a production assembler. They retired in 1975 after twenty-five years of service.

Elsie and Emil enjoyed their retirement years at the Plymouth Mobile Estates, Plymouth, MA. Elsie pursued sewing and patternmaking her whole life.  During her retirement years she made doll clothes for community charity projects, after the loss of her husband in 1987, Elsie returned to the Merrimack Valley where she resided at the Merrivista Senior Living Community, Haverhill, MA.

Ms. Suchodolski is predeceased by her husband Emil.  She leaves a son Edward Suchodolski and his wife, Catherine O'Shea Suchodolski; granddaughter, Gretchen Moxcey; great-grandchildren, Ella Moxcey and Harper Moxcey; two sisters, Florence Donahue and Mildred DeRoche.

Relative and friends are invited to Elsie's Life Celebration to be held on Friday, July 29, 2022, at 10:00 at Brookside Chapel and Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH with family. Burial will follow in the family lot in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen, MA.
