Elsie
Flynn
February 22, 1934 – May 3, 2021
North Andover: Elsie (George) Flynn, 87, a resident of North Andover for the last fourteen months and a longtime resident of Salisbury and Lawrence, died peacefully in her home on May 3, 2021.
Born in Haverhill, daughter of the late John and Rosalia (Marini) George, she attended local schools and graduated from Haverhill High School. Employed as a book keeper for most of her life, Mrs. Flynn worked at AVCO for over twenty years and later at Little River Dyer in Haverhill until her retirement.
A member of the Sweet Adelines, All Saints Parish of Haverhill and the former St. Rita's Parish, she was a resident of Salisbury for twenty years and thoroughly enjoyed her home there on the beach. She was devoted to her family and cared for many of them in their old age and especially treasured the time that she spent with her grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Leslie A. and Thomas Mannion of North Andover and her two grandchildren, Nina Mannion and Benjamin Mannion. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers John and Richard George.
A private family graveside service was held in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, under the direction of Berube-Comeau Funeral Home of Haverhill. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
