Fremont: Ellen Marie (Vaillancourt) Cameron, 70, of Fremont, NH, and a former resident of Atkinson, died January 5th, 2022 at Exeter Hospital.
Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, daughter of Mary (O'Toole) and late Albert Andrew Vaillancourt, grew up in Peabody. She attended local schools and graduated from Saint James High School in Salem, MA, with the Class of 1969. She went on to attend Salem State College and received her Associates Degree in Accounting.
Ellen was employed as an accountant for Marshall's Corporate offices, and later Ecco Shoe Company. She was also the office manager of Abest Abatement in Salem, NH, for fifteen years, and was currently working at Mixtips USA of Fremont, NH.
A former resident of Merrimac, MA, she also lived in Atkinson, NH for eighteen years before relocating to Fremont several years ago.
A devoted grandmother, Ellen enjoyed traveling and taking many cruises with her late husband Paul, where she enjoyed taking part in trivia contests. She also looked forward to being out where she could experience fine dining and good music, especially jazz and piano.
Ellen was predeceased by her husband of forty-five years, Paul O. Cameron, who died in May of last year after a twenty-five year battle with Parkinson's Disease. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly, and William Berard of Fremont, her mother Mary (O'Toole) Vaillancourt of Danvers, MA, three sisters; Margaret Kane, of San Clemente, CA, Karen Abbott, and her husband Don, of Middleton, MA, Diane Gatchell, and her husband Wayne, of Georgetown, MA, her two grandchildren Sydney Berard and Seth Berard, both of Fremont, several nieces and nephews and her spoiled grandpuppy, Kye.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ellen's Life Celebration to be held on Saturday, January 15th, 2022, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Plaistow, NH. A service of remembrance will follow at 1:15 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The American Diabetes Association at diabetes.org , or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation at donations@michaeljfox.org .
