Amesbury, MA:Elizabeth S. (Veroneau) Brown, age 92, formerly of Kingston Pines and Plaistow, NH, died on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at the Amesbury Village, Amesbury, MA.
Born in Plaistow, NH, the daughter of the late Frank and Ada A. (Morash) Veroneau, she attended a local grammar school and graduated from Haverhill High School with the Class of 1937.
Mrs. Brown worked for Jordan Marsh and Long's Jewelry concession counter at the former Mitchell's Department Store in downtown Haverhill, MA for twenty-five years until her retirement.She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Plaistow, NH where she was a member of the Lady's Social Circle and the Chi Beta Club.She also attended the Newton Junction Baptist Church.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking and entertaining her family and friends.
The widow of the late Seneca F. "Red"' Brown who died June 15, 1995, she is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Clinton J. and Susanna Brown of Alton, NH; Carroll F. and Anita Brown of Newton, NH and Glenn E. and Sherideth Brown of Rochester, NH; one daughter and son-in-law, BetsyAnn M. and Stephen Roderick of Newton, NH; fifteen grandchildren, twenty'six great grandchildren and 10 great, great grandchildren.
Family will receive relatives and friends at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, with a funeral service following at 11:00 AM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St. (Route 121A), Plaistow, NH.Burial will follow in Plaistow Cemetery, Plaistow, NH.Donations may be made in her name to the First Baptist Church, 122 Main St., Plaistow, NH 03865.
