Lawrence, MA - Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Tashjian) Berberian, 70 and 45 year resident of Lawrence, passed away at her home on Friday, January 16, 2015. Elizabeth was born on August 10, 1944 in Haverhill, MA the daughter of the late Hampartzoom and Vartanoosh (Porigian) Tashjian. She was raised and educated in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill High School, Class of 1962.

Elizabeth was very devoted to and closely followed the teachings of Jesus Christ and his Disciples. She was loved and will be missed by her many friends, neighbors and family. Betty worked many years for Bradlee's Department Stores, until she suffered a disability. Betty's greatest attribute was that she was so comfortable and warm to be with, which was due to her strong faith.

Betty is survived by her daughters; Linda Stingley of Nevada and Jane Berberian of California. Her granddaughters; Melodie and Darlene Stingley. Her brother, George Tashjian and his wife, Janet. Her brother-in-law, Michael Hazarvartian. Her nephews; Mark Siney, Kim Hazarvartian and his wife, Susan and their sons Drtad and Deran. Her nieces; Robin Hazarvartian and Linda Campbell. Betty was predeceased by her brother, Albert Tashjian and her sister, Esther Hazarvartian.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA 01832. A Vigil Service will take place at the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at the funeral home at 12:15 PM. Burial will follow the services in Linwood Cemetery in Haverhill.

Betty's family requests memorial contributions to the Hye Point Building Fund, the North Andover St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church or to New England Bible Church.
