Andover:  Eleanor (Riley) (Curtin) Bolis, 96, a former longtime resident of Lawrence, died peacefully, on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Wingate of Andover.

Born, raised and educated in Methuen, daughter of the late Luke and Margaret (Aiken) Riley, she attended Methuen Public Schools and Searles High School. She was employed for many years in the Wood Mills and Shawsheen Mills in Andover.

Mrs. Bolis enjoyed sewing, Big Band music and watching old movies.

Predeceased by her husband William Bolis and former husband Frank R. Curtin, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, Richard J. Curtin and his wife Patricia of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and Edward F.  "Ted' Curtin of Methuen, a daughter, Patricia A. Simsa of Keaaui, Hawaii, a special cousin Kevin Lucy and his wife Kelly of Derry, NH, eight grandchildren, Christine (Curtin) Ryan and her husband John of New Oxford, PA, Edward F. "Ted" Curtin, Jr. and his wife Lyn of Sandown, NH, Brenda (Curtin) L'Italien and her husband Thomas of Londonderry, NH, Amanda (Curtin) Butcher and her husband Nate of Londonderry, John L. Curtin of Lebanon, PA, Sharon (Curtin) Strawser and her husband Paul of Simsgrove, PA, Morgan Sims of Keaaui, HI, and Elizabeth (Sims) Kiyan and her husband Harry of Oahu, HI, a step-granddaughter, Keri Campiola and her husband, Josh Shafer of Brookline, MA, also six great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Bolis' Life Celebration to be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will take place at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in St. Mary's -Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
