Elba M. Roldan, 90, a resident of Atkinson, NH, since 1966, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH.

She was born and raised in New York, New York and graduated from Aquinas High School in the Bronx, Class of 1952. When she was nine, she met a boy in the neighborhood and (so the story goes) declared that she was going to marry him someday. Elba and Joe were indeed married, in 1956, at first living in Washington Heights before moving to Park Forest, IL, and then eventually settling in NH.

Elba was primarily a homemaker, with occasional part time jobs at Caldor and Jordan Marsh. She loved to dance, cook, dine out, buy shoes, and travel. She was still going to line dance 2 weeks before she passed.

She is survived by her four children James Roldan and his wife Janice Earley of East Hampstead, NH, Robert Roldan and his wife Yvonne Ilton of Somerville, MA, Jeanne Young and her husband Norman Pelissier of Manchester, NH, and Thomas Roldan and his wife Robin of San Antonio, TX, her six grandchildren, Keith, Alecia, Anthony, Olivia, Joe, and Maya, her five great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, as well as her sister Theresa Salemie and her husband Farhood and their family. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Joseph Roldan, who died in 2013.

Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 1:30pm – 3:30pm at the Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home 116 Main St. Plaistow, NH. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 4pm. Interment will be held privately.
