Elaine (Lambert) Schimming, 75, of Derry and a former resident of Haverhill and Amesbury, died Sunday December 22, 2024, at High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.
Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Edmond and Clarida (Nadeau) Lambert, she attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1967.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Elaine enjoyed creating a warm and loving home for her family. She was accomplished at sewing and taking care of home repairs and in her later years enjoyed trips to Arizona.
Predeceased in 2001 by her husband, Ernest P. Schimming, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son, Ernie E. Schimming of Derry, two daughters, Karen L Welch of Salem, NH and Martha L. Schimming-White and her husband, Ronald White of Fremont, NH, a step daughter Betty-Jean Schimming of Florida, a sister Nancy Cote of Haverhill, six grandchildren, Catherine Benson, Kaitlin Benson, Savanna Schimming, Nathan Schimming, Aurora White and Lydia White, and several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Edmond Lambert, Jr. and a stepson, Allen Schimming.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours to be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA. Her funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 27, at the funeral home and will be followed by her burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
