Elaine D. (Johnson) Morasse, 78, a longtime resident of Plaistow, died February 12, 2025, at Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in Boston, MA, daughter of the late Gardner Johnson and Marie (Healey) (Johnson) Guy, she was raised in the Plaistow area and attended the Pollard School and graduated from Haverhill High School. She went on to attend and graduate from the Fazio School of Beauty, Lawrence, MA.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Elaine created a warm and inviting home and enjoyed cooking for her family and their friends. A stay-at-home mom for many years until her sons were in school, she later worked in the food service department of Hampstead Middle School. She enjoyed trips to the beach, camping, completing crossword puzzles and keeping up with her television "programs".
Predeceased in 1994 by her son John R. Morasse, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her loving husband of fifty-seven years, Raymond R. Morasse, twin sons, Joseph A. Morasse and his wife Lori, of West Newbury, MA, and James G. Morasse and his wife Teresa of Sandown; ten grandchildren, Kelsi, Kendra, Olivia, William, Edmund, Allison, Stephanie, Jacqueline, Max, and Joshua; and a great-granddaughter, Violet.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours to be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home, and followed by burial in Plaistow Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY, 10306.
