Obituary


Hampstead, NH: Elaine M. (Capek) Willey, 74, of Hampstead, died on January 23, 2015 at Holy Family Hospital after being stricken at home.

Born in Brattleboro, VT, daughter of the late Joseph and Lena (Pagliarulo) Capek, she attended local public schools and graduated from Brattleboro Union High School.

Mrs. Willey was employed at Raytheon Company for many years and was most recently employed as a paper carrier for the Lawrence Eagle Tribune.

A former member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, she enjoyed making crafts and attending craft fairs in Meredith, NH and Hampton Beach, where she operated a booth under the name of Wee People. She specialized in decoupage and other types of crafts.

She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-four years, Marlon B. Willey, two daughters, Diane Paulinca and her husband Thomas of Salem, NH, and Denise Hewson of Atkinson, NH, a brother, Joseph Capek of Elbert, CO, and two sisters, Diane Johnson of Fountain, CO, and Marlene McCullen of Ottawa, KS. She was predeceased by her son, Donald Willey. Mrs. Willey would have also wanted to say goodbye to all of her craft friends, especially Mary and Bob, and Linda and Karen, and all her other friends.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will follow at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will take place in the spring.
