Methuen: Elaine M. (Burton) Archambault, 101, of Methuen, and a former resident of the Ayers Village section of Haverhill for fifty years, died peacefully on Friday evening, September 26, 2025, at Lawrence General Hospital. Born and raised in Methuen, daughter of the late Thomas and Eva (Drouin) Burton, Elaine attended Methuen schools and was a member of the Searles High School Class of 1942. She graduated from McIntosh Business School and was employed as a bookkeeper at Lester Gates Lumber Yard, Boston Furniture Co. and Doukas the Furrier before working for sixteen years as a cashier and bookkeeper in the Treasure's Office at Haverhill City Hall.

A member of All Saints Parish and the former Saint Joseph Parish of Haverhill, Elaine was a member of the Haverhill Arts and Crafts Association, the Haverhill Grange and the Mothers' Club of Ayers Village. She was a Girl Scout and Brownie Leader for several years and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and ceramics.

Predeceased in 1999 by her husband, Robert E. Archambault, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by a daughter, Susan Douglass of Boscawen, NH a son, Dennis R. Archambault of Methuen, four grandchildren, Amy Jones of Pittsburg, NH, Sharon Beaupre of Sanbornton, NH, Dionne Garon, of Salem, NH and Jessica Beliveau of Windham, NH;  six great-grandchildren Benjamin, Matthew, Olivia, James, Dylan and Giana;  and several nieces and nephews.

Elaine was predeceased by her three brothers, Thomas Burton, Lewis Burton and Alfred Burton.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill, MA. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Haverhill. Arrangements are under the direction of Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway Haverhill, MA.
